Consortium Guaynabo – Toa Baja
The Local Area of Work Development Guaynabo/Toa Baja, which includes the municipalities of Cataño, Guaynabo, Toa Alta and Toa Baja, are governed under the new Federal law “Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)” of July 22, 2014. It replaces the previous law known as WIA.
This new Act is to offer services to obtain and retain employment, increase skills, reduce dependence on social assistance programs and prepare people for self-sufficiency. All these services are accessible to the participants (young people, adults and displaced persons) and service providers from the private sector through our designated Center (Centro de Gestión Única) or any of the other offices located in the municipalities of Cataño, Guaynabo, Toa Alta and Toa Baja.
